The only difference is the character that bounces around the screen. The (original ?) version where the character is a dot is the most common one, but a version that uses the "diamond" (character number 4) is also fairly common here. Finally, I have seen a version that displays a "smiley" (character number 2) at one site. Are the two modified versions known elsewhere in the world or are they just local mutations ?
