Problem:
 Improper action from parameter test. A parameter that doesn't exist
causes exit from the shell, rather than executing the "action".
 Example on machine "dash". Parameter ZIP does not exist:

dash$ : ${ZIP:?"No ZIP here"}
	shell exits
----------------------
barratt@dash.mitre.org
