I've used it as a user. It's easy to forget to log out when you (alone, or as part of a group) are working on more than one terminal, and those terminals have auto-screenblank feature. In such situations, it helps to turn on autologout (by the shell or by a daemon -- doesn't matter). If you do put it into the shell, please make it unset by default.
