Edmonton, Alberta. CANADA Lines: 26 I use VM(4.40) to read mail and GNUS(3.12) to read news. In gnus overlay-arrow-string is used to provide the gnus-more-message string in the article buffer. I have noticed the following behaivour and would like to now if anyone else has noticed this and/or fixed the problem. (1) The gnus-more-message string is ocassionally being repeated in the buffer from the end of the text to the bottom of the buffer window. (2) If I start reading my mail, then move to reading news. On return to reading news the string in gnus-more-message will be used as my vm summary pointer instead of "->". The results of my excursion into the elisp code have found that vm, gnus, dbx and maybe a number of other buffer modes use the same variable "overlay-arrow-string" as a buffer pointer. The last one to set the variable keeps it that way. Does anyone have fix for these two problems.
