Subject: kill files again

I started using kill files now but have a problem.  The line "THRU 6125" keeps
being inserted at the front of the kill file and so each time I enter a 
newsgroup the remaining articles are not checked.  I have to go in and
delete the line manually, exit and re-enter the newsgroup to get the kill
file to work.  

I'm using rn, if that helps any.  Have I forgotten to configure something?
