Can anyone give me some advice on birding in Puerto Rico? My visit there in late September will be VERY brief. I will arrive at 6:30pm and leave again at 12:30 noon the next day, en route to Caracas. On the way back, I will have almost 24 hours (4:30pm - 4pm) and plan to rent a car. I am of course most interested in the endemics. I have birded Jamaica, Costa Rica, eastern Mexico, and south Florida previously. I have Bond's Field-Guide, and one (1980) "Birding" insert on "El Yunque" Recreation area. Thanks in advance for any help! David Mark dmark@cs.buffalo.edu
