I have heard of a program called xweb which apparently is an X interface to the online webster dictionary available in some places. I think something like that would be very useful for a lot of people here. Even if were something as simple as a mail server which answered queries like mail noed@sol entry pedantic . and sent back mail giving the dictionary entry for pedantic. Of course, a fancy window based browser system would be even nicer. Are there any plans for this sort of thing? Does it exist already? Man -k oed didn't find anything.
