Doing a make distribute on mfcf-basics ends up trying to run
/software/xhier/servers/xh-last-dist-step on the remote host.

There is no guarantee that this file is now or ever will be there.

This made mfcf-basics installation fail on every one of my machines,
since they do rdist's in the "correct" order, or what used to be
the "correct" order anyway ...
