	I am looking for the following info relating to block floating point 
arithmetic.

1. Are there any processors (dedicated/general purpose) which do any form of 
   block floating point arithmetic operations ?

2. Is there a paper/reference on some sort of error bounds for basic arithmetic
   operations (say +/-/*//) in block floating point ?
