Mike said it, but it bears re-emphasis: IBM-mips and VAX-mips
are not the same, so be real careful when comparing them.
the moderate number of benchmarks we've seen in common bear out
Mike's description of 40-60 (conservatove-vs-VMS) VAX-mips / CPU.
