Thanks every body for replying my request and their help. 

It seems to me the version of the DosTeX I pulled out is an old version and
the preloaded versions has been configured for a machine with huge memory.
(The machine I was trying to use is an IBM-PC/AT 8Mhz, with 1 1/2M memory.
But these memory has been configured as extended)

I managed to get a new version of DosTeX which has got the capability of
configuring the preloaded systems for our requirements, and that solved the
problem.
