Simtel20 is a TOPS10 or TOPS20 machine or something like that.
Whatever, it's word size is not a multiple of 8 bits and transfers
from such machines require reformatting of each character.  FTP
will do this for you if you use tenex mode - not binary.
Use the "tenex" FTP command.
