I have just started using the "Free Software Foundation" compliler
called g++.  It is reasonably good on the suns but we're waiting for
the new release for our sequents.  It has lots of library classes
which are useful.  Furthermore, it is a real c++ compiler as opposed
to CC which translates c++ to c and then compiles the c.
