So I offer the following humble suggestion: The advocates of Fortran-8X out there in netland should volunteer their time to the Free Software Foundation to produce a GNU f88 compiler. This would surely be more productive work than arguing in committee meetings, and would give us user-types something to work with to decide if all these sexy extensions and modifications to f77 are really useful.... -- John D.
