We are set up to poll one system periodically, and the logfile for that system is getting to the point where it's not convenient to read. I tried editing it once, but it seemed to cause it to get garbled--so I ended up trashing it and starting a new one. Is there any special procedure usually followed to maintain these logs (the ones shown by 'uulog')? Are there any programs/scripts out there that can be used to summarize the log activity? The system in question is a Harris Nighthawk 3802, running System V.3. Thanks in advance for any help on this. Bill Heiser heiser@sud509.ray.com rayssd!sud509!heiser
