I have vague, general ideas of the answers, but I would really appreciate solid, reliable answers from people who really know. Pointers to specific standards and clauses would be very nice as well. I do not have copies of Blue Books yet, so it would help me satisfy my immediate curiosity if you could include at least a few words of actual explanation. 1. What are legal (specific) values for the Country attribute in an O/R name/address and where are they specified or registered? 2. Is there any case in which a Country, so-called in X.400, is anything other than what one thinks of as a "country" (a sovereign entity with territory, population, and a government, etc.)? 3. Would the answers to either of those questions, or any closely related question I might have asked, differ between 1984 and 1988 X.400? Between O/R names and O/R addresses? Between any kind of Directory name and any other kind of Directory or X.400 name/address? Thanks in advance for any info. Bill Barns
