Has anyone gotten the bootp source to work with packet driver (for PCIP)?

We are putting together a lab of pc's and it would be very useful to be 
able to use bootp to find the internet address (along with some other useful
information), but it needs to work with packet driver.

If it won't work with packet driver, is there a reason it doesn't?
