You say you tried it without the cage, but imply that you tried the memory card elsewhere. You should, if you haven't done so already, try each piece individually. ie. Cage and Micron board without the HD, cage only, cage (empty) and HD, without the Micron. If you have access to another A1000, you could try your peripherals on that one (I do know someone in Regina with an A1000 who might be willing to let you try it). You might also try powering the cage/Micron card externally if there is provision for that. The main thing, at this point, is to isolate the actual failing major component. The results of the testing should give you a better idea as to what's happening. -larry -- The Mac?
