It was NOT in an Amiga system, so I don't think the Amiga is the problem. Also, I have been looking for the manual on the Rodime to see how it is RECOMMENDED that you mount it. Most of the other manuals I have looked at (Tandem, CDC, etc.) say it is O.K. to mount either way (flat or sideways) as long as you use it that way all the time (i.e. format the disk in the same orientation as it will be used). If I find some documentation that says specifically NOT to mount the drive on the side, I will send you some EMAIL about it or post it on the network.
