Previous versions are known to crash when anything is modified.
The newest version hasn't crashed on my yet.

Mike Lehman says the problem with the telephones is straightned out.
(The one which connected incoming calls to the answering machine
when someone else was using the BBS).  The BBS is (408)646-9260.
