I have some friends who are doing exactly this for their video business. > What is the best hardware for the Genloc/video function? The Magni 4004 is the best. I may not have the part number exactly correct, since I am giving you this from memory. But don't worry. There is no other company with a similar name selling for the Amiga. I recommend you buy from a reputable dealer, preferably not mail order. The Magni is not trivial to configure. And like all complex devices, they sometimes require a warranty. Alas, the Magni that my friends bought did not work when delivered. After it was fixed, the Magni worked great. Unfortunately at that point the hard disk (a 40MB Rodime BTW) in their Amiga 2000HD failed. That is being repaired now. (I suspect it was damaged by UPS when it was sent in for the Magni repair. That could happen to anyone. But its another reason to avoid mail order.) > Sorry for dumb questions. > Art Todesco att!ihlpf!alt Those questions were not dumb. I hope you enjoy the Amiga. It really is a nice computer. -- Charles Brown charles@cv.hp.com or charles%hpcvca@hplabs.hp.com or hplabs!hpcvca!charles or "Hey you!" Not representing my employer.
