The "problem" with DPaint III picts is the DPPS chunk. It's chunksize is only 2 bytes. This screws up IFF reader programs because they expect everything to be in nice 4 byte chunks. The DPIII are LEGAL IFF formatted files. The code to read the files has to modified not to skip over the stuff it doesn't use 4 bytes at a time.
