The RINGDIAG diagnostic in the Domain/Personal Computer Interconnect (DPCI) package always gives the message "No ring board found". We have tried both the alternatives for the jumper settings on the board, and are running DOS 3.10 or 3.2. The board works fine on our ATs (provided we slow the clock speed down; we also did better when we found out that DPCI on the PC turns passwords to upper-case, so your Apollo password cannot contain lower-case letters :-( ). The DPCI manual says that the token ring board will work in either ATs or XTs. Has anyone anywhere succeeded in using a token ring board and DPCI in an XT? If so, please pass on any useful tricks or hints. Thanks in advance. --- Jim Richardson Department of Pure Mathematics, University of Sydney, NSW 2006, Australia UUCP: ...!uunet!munnari!summer.su.oz!jimr ARPA: jimr%summer.su.oz@uunet.uu.net ACSNET, CSNET: jimr@summer.su.oz
