It is titled Nucleus GS and is over 250 blocks long under SHK format. It unpacks to take over a 3.5" disk. It has its own dos which is mostly incompatible with ProDOS - if you catalog the volume, it appears empty. When it boots, a screen referencing SpeedyLoad FTA appears for a few (??) moments and then the fun begins. . What you first see is a title screen, indicating that the Free Tools Association is responsible for this demo. There is some names there, which I didnt write down :-( . In the black background are speeding points of lights (stars). On your internal speaker is playing this rock tune - with human vocals which SOUND human. This is the FIRST voices (other than the few seconds on the original GS dealer demo) which I felt SOUNDED fully human. The closest before this was Talking Reader Rabbit - and it is muffled. There is no muffle, or no tinniness, in this sound. . Next you hit a key (only space? I dont know) and the main screen comes up. Here you have the option of increasing the number of stars on the screen, starting a series of molecules (??) floating in space, changing between THREE rock sound tracks (which use the MDIdeas stereo card that I have in my GS), have a 3d looking rotating Logo in the corner of the screen, options to rotate the central graphic in 3 dimentions in 2 different directions in real time, zoom in, automatic demoing, etc. I would go on, but my fingers are tired. -- Larry Virden via cmhGate - Net 226 fido<=>uucp gateway Col, OH UUCP: ...!osu-cis!n8emr!cmhgate!lwv INET: lwv@cmhgate.FIDONET.ORG
