Reinventing wheels is okay if you wish to amuse yourself. I'm of the impression that ZLink already is a pretty good alternative to ProTerm (I'm wedded to using Kermit myself). There would be a lot of happy campers out in netland if you could find a way to convert/imbed/hack(?) Kermit-65 into a SYS file (how about reducing it to a desk accessory ;-) Or, how about 1) Tektronics emulation, 2) Dec 240 (is that the number of the full color graphics terminal?) emulation, 3) APL font set... How about file transfer in background (the easy stuff's been done; how about something truly *unusual*)?
