If you open a file by double-clicking on it's icon on the desktop, GEM ist first checking if there is an application for that special extension or if it is a .PRG, a .TOS and so on. My problem is:

How does GEM know about:
1)	a file is opened at the desktop
2(	which file on which drive an path it is

My special purpose is to use that information in an accessory program, so:

Is it possible to get this information also for applications other than GEM-desktop?
