I have a MINIMODEM-C and have found it to be quite nice.  However, I have found
that some programs that say they are compatible with Hayes do not work with the
MINIMODEM.  I called the Aprotek support line and they told me that it was
because the programs were not programmed correctly and used byte check instead
of individual bit checks.  Anyway, I have not had any problems with it.
