When I try to transfer data over the network (with FTP Software's PC/TCP or Artisoft's LANtastic), the hard disk keeps locking up. I just talked to Western Digital tech support. There is indeed an incompatibility between the two cards. They will have a new bios for the WD1007A soon (about two weeks). The WD1007V does not exhibit this problem. Also, it should be faster (higher transfer rate). I just thought I'd let the speed demons out there know about this problem. Tim
