I just bought a used compaq deskpro and didn't get the manuals with it. Hopefully someone out there can answer a few questions for me. This particular deskpro has an 8086 and runs at (I think) 8mhz. 1>Where can I get the manuals? 2> Can I upgrade with MS-dos or do I have to stick with compaq dos? I ask because before I got the hard disk fixed I borrowed a copy of PC-dos to boot with. everything worked fine except when I tried basic it asked for the compaq dos disk. 3> Why does the power light change from green to red? I have two theories.. either its red when you boot with pc-dos and it doesn't like it... or else the system speed is 4/8mhz switchable and the light indicates speed. Thanks for any possible info. --Kevin kmh20822@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu {Please respond in e-mail and if these questions seem stupid, remember I never used ms-dos machines before wedensday.}
