Message-ID: <1834@cbnewsl.ATT.COM> Date: 11 Sep 89 17:47:07 GMT Distribution: usa Organization: AT&T Bell Laboratories Lines: 12 I am considering upgrading my AT to a 386, and I think the motherboard replacement would be the best route. I would like to know if anyone has had experience with this. I see that the Mylex is about $300 cheaper than any other, is it good? What about the memory I already have (3Meg, in 256K 150ns SIMMs)? Can I use these in my machine? 386 Functionality is more important than speed, I can always buy faster chips later. Can I use a 16 bit memory card in the 386? Please send e-mail, as I don't read news often. thank you, Rob Diamond att!lzatt!rmd (201)560-6816
