Under MultiFinder, desk accessories are by default run under the control of a mini-app called DA Handler. Under Finder, they are run in the invoking application's memory space, under its control. To get this behavior under MultiFinder, hold down OPTION while selecting the DA. Anyway, check that DA Handler exists in the System Folder of the boot device. RichL
