What gives?!! >If you have a suggestion or better yet, an answer to this problem, >please let me know! > Somehow your extended parameter RAM has been configured for use of an alternate AppleTalk driver such as EtherTalk. I have seen this dialog on my Mac II, after selecting EtherTalk in the Control Panel, and then either deleting or moving the EtherTalk file. One way to fix this problem is to get a copy of the Network cdev file, and use it to select the "Built-in" AppleTalk driver. If you cannot get a copy of the Network file, then you can reset the parameter RAM by removing the battery for five minutes with the Mac turned off. After replacing the battery, you will have to set the time, mouse speed, etc. but you should be free of the "alternate AppleTalk" message. >I have a 40M h/d connected to my aftermarket SCSI port.
