I've created a table that is linked to a section of a spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel. This section is defined by a name, Data_Area. When I add rows to the data area, and select Update Link in Word, all is well, and the new data is reflected in the table. However, if I manually select rows of the data area, copy them to the clipboard, and try to paste them into the table, I get the error "Copy and Paste areas are different sizes". This seems strange, since I should be doing the same thing, manually, that Update Link does automagically. I've tried all sorts of things before doing the paste, like selecting the first cell only, first row only, whole table, etc. Nothing works! I sure would appreciate any help you could give. Thx, Rich --- Disclaimer: I speak for myself only, but you can listen! >>>>>>>>>>>>>Paths to me: long@mcntsh.enet.dec.com --or-- /~~) /~~ / ...!decwrl!mcntsh.enet.dec.com!long --or-- /~~\ /__ /__ long%mcntsh.dec@decwrl.enet.dec.com
