Has anyone encountered the following problem on a Xerox 1186 Interlisp-D
workstation before:

Input stream on the Interlisp is not reading in characters properly.
Previously developed I/O routines are now running in a peculiar manner.
The problem occurred when we upgrade ViewPoint 1 to ViewPoint 2 on a dual
mode (ViewPoint and Interlisp-D/Notecards) workstations but that should not
affect Interlisp-D functions at all. I have pulled in a new sysin and
the diskinitialdove.db file and the problem is still there.
