This is particularly |true of strange layouts, like ad copy or newsletters. Of course, your WYSIWYG |tool should have a really fluid, consistent, easy to use interface. A layout design tool would be nice to have but I haven't missed it much. I just type in the text and use one of several standard formats. One thing I will not give up is the ability to edit from a dumb terminal over a modem. Many WYSISYG systems tie one to a workstation. Which one is preferred depends on the job at hand. Academics writing papers will have a different answer from newsletter editors. We have both types of systems here each with their adherents. Pick your favourite religion.
