Gangolli) Organization: Stanford University Lines: 9 Is there a way to set the timeout on connect() calls for a socket? Using setsockopt() to change SO_RCVTIMEO or SO_SNDTIMEO doesn't seem to work. Inspection of socketvar.h on my machine shows there is a field so_timeo that seems to be for connection time out periods, but it is not apparently accessible through setsockopt(). --anil.
