We are looking for a way controlling MS-Windows running on a PC from the serial port (COM1) without original keyboard or mouse. It must be possible to emulate some special keystrokes (for example Alt+F4) with a single byte coming from the serial port and of course the 'normal' ASCII keystrokes The only proper and secure way seems to write a device driver. But this is a difficult topic. Anyone already solved that problem ? Are there any really good books on the market about writing device drivers on a PC-AT 286 ? Please E-Mail. --- Thanks in advance Frank Fischer ISA GmbH - Informationssysteme fuer computerintegrierte Automatisierung Azenbergstr. 35, D-7000 Stuttgart 1, West-Germany, Phone: +49-711/22769-0 UUCP: ...{uunet!unido, pyramid!iaoobel}!isaak!fischer or fischer@isaak.UUCP BITNET: fischer%isaak.uucp@unido.bitnet
