The GraphOn X terminal supports a serial interface. You open a socket to a "mini-server" running on a UNIX host. This mini-server converts the X protocol to a smaller protocol based on SLIP and sends it to the terminal via a serial wire or high speed modem. Performance may be adequate, depending on your expectations. Images, pixmaps, and mouse following are not especially fast. Ken Lee DEC Western Software Laboratory, Palo Alto, Calif.
