I found something odd in uwm.  One of my students had the following
in .cshrc:
               alias window xterm
As a result, he could not get any of the uwm menus, although otherwise
it worked fine.

When I got rid of the alias, the problem went away.

I can't imagine why this would happen.  Does anybody have an explanation?
