I want to thank all of the people who reported bugs, and harangued me until this release finally appeared. A large number of bugs have been fixed, and the Readline library has gone through many changes. I'm sure that bugs still remain, and that all of you will be happy to point them out to me! If you have previously posted a bug report, and I never got back to you about it, then you should try to make the bug happen under 1.03. If you can, then please report it again. I believe that the SYS V support is somewhat better. Support for several other machines has been merged in; the Makefile mentions which machines in particular are supported. There are still bugs, and there are more ports to support. In about two weeks, I will post the next generation. Brian Fox
