I tried saving the XMAIL file, exiting and returning to RMAIL, putting the inbox in my home dir rather than /usr/spool/mail, all to no avail. C-u g inbox_name RET does bring new mail into the XMAIL buffer but does not remove the inbox. Am I describing the unworthy behavior of 18.51 or did I miss something? We have available 18.54 (I think that is the number) but haven't taken the time to install. Is this the reason for the time I need to take?
