Chadian forces in the Chad-Libya conflict some years back used light
jeeps armed with the Milan (French?) anti-tank missile which raced
across minefields to attack Libyan forces.  As the mines were mainly
contact detonated, the jeeps in most cases would have passed over the
minesafely just before its detonating (amazing but quite true).
