Even though from the scriptures it is rather obvious that Christ was not born in December, our family uses Christmas as a special time to celebrate the birth of Christ. Whether or not Christmas began as a pagan holiday, you cannot deny the spirit of giving it generates and for some, the general spirit of good will. Granted, there are some who have a difficult time with the season, but you'll never be successful in destroying it. A better approach would be the promote the positive aspects of a genuine celebration the birth of Jesus Christ.
