I must apologize to the net at large.  The first posting of
gnuplot.shar.1 was intended to be part 1 of a 6 part shar set.
Since we didn't use makekit to build the shar files--it turned out
that some of the others (part 2, for instance) were too large to
post.  Sigh...

Please--if you are collecting gnuplot, just delete or ignore
the gnuplot.shar.1 that was posted (part 1 of 6) and pick up the
complete set gnuplot.shar.01, .02, .03, .04, .05, .06, and .07.
I'll certainly use makekit from now on!

Sorry for the net clutter--but if you knew how many hours we've worked
on this you'd be inclined to forgive us...
