Even though the ps command claimed that a sendmail daemon was
allegedly running, watdcsu managed to accumulate a rather impressive
backlog of undelivered mail.  There were files over 12 hours old in the
queue with no apparent reason for nondelivery.

Ran "sendmail -q" to clear the queue, killed old daemon, started new
one.
