     Unify Corporation, the leading supplier of applicaltion  develop-
     ment  tools  and  technology,  has the following opportunities in
     software engineering:

     Position:


     o+    Software Engineer, Front End Tools Development

     Duties/Responsibilities:


     o+    Engineers with experience in X-Windows, xtk, and/or  object-
          oriented  development will join our front end user interface
          development group, which is implementing our ACCELL tools in
          a  graphical  user interface (GUI) environment.  The initial
          GUI platform will be AT&T's Open Look, running on Sun works-
          tations.   The  challenge for this group is to transform the
          application generator,  4GL  and  run-time  from  character,
          ASCII-terminal  oriented  models  to  that  provided  by  an
          object-oriented, icon-based, X-Windows model.


     o+    For those experienced with relational database and  advanced
          development and 4GL internals, we need engineers in our core
          tools group.  This group  is  responsible  for  implementing
          new, advanced features in the language, the application gen-
          erator and the run-time that will be available to all of the
          implementations of our ACCELL tools, either GUI or character
          based, running on Unify's U2000 database, or any  relational
          database.


     o+    Finally, for those with specific netowrking  and/or  Sybase,
          Oracle,  Informix,  Ingres, Progress, Integra or other major
          relational database internals experience, we need  to  staff
          up our back end group.  This group is responsible for imple-
          menting the interfaces to these and  other  relational  data
          bases.


     Qualifications:


     o+    You  must  possess  the  following  qualifications   to   be
          considered for this position:

               * BS in Computer Science, or equivalent.

               * at least 3 years software engineering/programming experience.

               * knowledge of Unix, C, RDBMS and 4GL.

               * experience with X-Windows development.

               * good written and oral communications skills.
