I know I shouldn't be spreading rumors, but I've heard that the company
that ported emacs to Kanji (Electronics Technology Lab) has sent their
modifications to FSF and that 16 bit languages will be supported in
v19.

Are these rumors true?  And if they are, is there any extremely rough
estimates of when v19 might be coming out?

I'm pretty sure HP doesn't condone the spreading of rumors and what I've
said above is just plain rumor mongering.
