I am plotting fractals (Mandelbrot Set) on an IBM 286 with VGA graphics and
am using Turbo Pascal v5.0.

I need to be able to change certain default colors to different intensities
of the basic 16 colors.  TP has a procedure that allows me to define a color
as three values... R G B ...  Is the formula or table that I could use to
get these RGB values?

In a nutshell,  I need a way to change the intensity of the basic 16 colors
on a VGA monitor using a formula to calculate the seperate RGB components...

Is this possible?  Any help much appreciated...
