Stoddard (ISBN 0-07-061561-6). Chapter 15, System Control Operations, has a short section on I/O operations and discusses simple channel programming with examples. I can't say as I've seen channel programming mentioned anyplace outside of Principles of Operation except in the 3174 Functional Description. Does anyone else know of any other good references?
