Subject: availability of gnu software in UK

Has anybody in the UK got a distribution kit for the gnu c compiler (gcc) 
and any other goodies. Failing this, how do we go about getting this - (for 
those readers in the unfashionable western end of the globe, I shall 
explain that 'anonymous ftp' doesnt work for us') - where is the 'free 
software foundation' based, what spells must be uttered etc.
